Baby Showers
Baby showers have been a popular tradition in the US for many years now. This tradition has been gaining popularity in the UK in recent years, it is a lovely way to celebrate a mother and father-to-be.
Baby showers are usually thrown by a close friend or family member of a mother-to-be. Traditionally, they should be held when the mother-to-be is at least seven to eight months pregnant, when her tummy is very obvious.
Although in the past women were the only ones invited to the baby shower, in these modern times men are more often included in the celebrations, particularly the father-to-be!
Baby showers are a fun way to celebrate with the couple’s closest friends and family. It’s also an excellent chance to get creative with colour themes and decoration. You can really get stuck in with colour themes – blue for boys, pink for girls and yellow if the gender is yet to be revealed are the most traditional. Bunting is often used to decorate, and there is a huge array of themes you can go for, Beatrix Potter is a fantastic inspiration for a classic baby shower.

A pot of freshly brewed tea or coffee served with a selection of freshly prepared finger sandwiches. Together with fruit scones served with clotted cream and strawberry preserve and an assortment of mini-cakes. Vegan and/or gluten free Afternoon Teas are also available.
